This year, I ran in four races – a 10K (“cross-country”), 15K, half-marathon and marathon. I also ran my annual 2.4K to get some money. But I couldn’t figure out what my personal records (PRs) were for some of these distances (especially the 10K and 15K) and figured it was time to consolidate some of these so I can sharpen my focus for the next few years. (NB: All times are according to my stopwatch, which I think is actually more accurate than the chiptime and obviously, guntime.)
2.4K PR: 11:32 (2009 – surpassed the 2008 record by 5s.)
10K PR: 56:40 (New Balance Real Run 2006, cross-country at Sentosa, before the 15K component was introduced)
15K PR: 1:26:39 (Saucony Passion Run 2008 – I ran 22K the day before and destroyed any chance I had of achieving a sub 1:25)
Half-marathon PR (out of 4): 1:58:39 (Singapore StandChart 2007 – a very good run)
Marathon PR (out of 3): 4:18:16 (Chicago 2008 – I’m happy with this)
Goals to be achieved between 2009-2010:-
- Run at least 2 marathons (tentatively overseas).
- A sub-4:10 marathon finish.
- A sub-1:50 half-marathon finish.
- Learn how to swim…
